My sound is always off except DBMCan't stand this noise. But I'd love to hear the boss emotes. "No no no no no no no..."
would miss that...

both these things work for me just fine. make sure your weak auras and boss mod are outputting sound to "master" sound channel and you can turn off the game sounds and still have the other alerts. I'll have to check out boss filter though, because i do like the boss emotes.... but the sound of me casting wraths grates on my ears.
Yeah, thanks for that.
I actually figured that out over the weekend as well when looking into the whole issue.
The only problem with BossFilter is that unfortunately it is never up to date instantly (which is understandable) on new raids like the coming T15.
This, however, is when I need it the most as I am frapsing my guilds first kills on normal/Heroic. So at that point I have to revert back to muting single abilities. Though I still have not been able to pinpoint the sound file used for the rogue ability Shadow Blades. Most. Annoying. Shit. EVER.
I sleep at night after a raid and still hear holy healing and pally strike chimes going off with explosions, whizzes and flame whooshes.
though nothing like playing 1-2 hours+ of Left4dead2, now THAt has some major after-taste when you use headphones and try to sleep later.

that's good. war should overload you with sounds.
how noisy do you think this little toy was? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...-7_Vietnam.jpg
I very much agree. Instead of a boss emote sound option I would prefer a voice sound option though, where you can adjust the emote sound levels for NPC's and bosses. I notice, playing a feral druid, that I can hardly hear anything besides spells and swords smashing during an encounter of any kind. I have to turn the volume down to prevent my speakers from blowing up, but at the cost of hearing any kind of emote sounds.
Yeah this is something that absolutely needs to happen. I have never played the game with sound because I can't stand all the casting and clank clank crap over and over and over again but I feel like I miss out on boss dialogue and the ability to set up audio cues.
I'd really like to see cinematics have their own sound setup as well.
