I don't get it.. A couple questions regarding MLP

Why do so many men like My Little Pony? I can understand if you put it on for your kids, but what about the rest of you guys? What attracts you to this show? Do you do this for woman, to get attention or to hopefully get laid? I just don't get it. Is this like a white knight thing.. or some kind of new anime fad?

I've noticed an aweful lot of mods on this site who have a cartoon pony avatars. I've seen them in a few instances get quite defensive or sarcastic towards non-bronies, even ban them. Lots of closed threads too.
