    Ready to order the parts

I've made a post a few weeks ago about me building a computer for my fiancee. And her tax return came back yesterday (rapid refund), and had some extra money with it (~$1000). Just take a note, the case can't be changed. It's already been purchased. I wasn't sure about the Power supply but just wanted something 80+ certified and to fit the graphic's card. Also, will that heatsink fit into the case no problems?

Any changes would help a lot as I'm ready to order the parts for her computer.

    The PSU is good.

The cooler will fit in the case (source).

Rest of the build looks good! She will enjoy it!

I like the build the only thing I would change is power supply and ram. I would get some low profile ram instead of the sniper series.

Haven't ordered the RAM and PSU yet. What would you suggest Skarsguard?

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair...l8gx3m2a1600c9 corsair vengeance LP for the ram

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-pow...ply-p1550sxxb9 XFX 550 pro for power supply

The ram doesn't have the big heat sinks that you don't need and will be sure to fit snug under the cpu cooler that you are getting.

I would stick with the original PSU since it is modular and not much more expensive.
    Intel i5-3570K @ 4.7GHz | MSI Z77 Mpower | Noctua NH-D14 | Corsair Vengeance LP White 1.35V 8GB 1600MHz
    Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce 3X @ 1372/7604MHz | Corsair Force GT 120GB | Silverstone Fortress FT02 | Corsair VX450

The XFX is still a tad cheaper and will do anything he needs it to do. I have personally put them in builds that are still going to this day and even the review of them on Johnnyguru are really good.

Same score the other supply got then.

I'd say it is worth to pay $3 for modular cables, specially in that case he is getting since it has somewhat bad cable management.

That's exactly why I picked out a modular PSU. I know the cable management isn't the greatest with this case but she liked it.

Going with the low profile RAM. The Corsair Vengeance.

    Update:
All parts are ordered. I purchased the heatsink anyway too. We are going to try the performance without the overclocking ability. But If she's happy with the performance without the overclock, then I might even keep it for my personal build if she doesn't want to overclock it. And if she does want to overclock in the near future. The build is ready for it. Thanks for the help.
