    I don't believe so, I used to find quartz everywhere when i was little digging around my back yard. It's a pretty common crystal I think.

    Edit: Upon a quick google search quartz is very common. Easily obtainable at a lot of different places and has a varying worth depending on size and type. Tho that worth is never really very high so don't get your hopes up. :P

    Quartz is pretty common, but big chunks are harder to find it seems. Keep it if you like it! I thought I was cool cuz I found a big 4 inch diameter pyrite (fool's gold), not a single bit of rock attached to it, just the pyrite. It was so shiny! I still have it even though I know it's not worth anything.
