I believe that GoSup is still probably a better option.

Though the only way to truly know is to Sim yourself with both the talents selected to be 100% sure unfortunately :/

Probably until ilvl 520ish Gosup will be better for Affliction.

Simming Gosac vs Gosup is close to pointless. Considering that simming gives the theoretical maximum dps you can put out, the player skill is what should be taken into consideration here. If you know you are a beginner or just not the best warlock around, go with Gosup, because the pet will do the same damage regardless of how well/bad you do your rotation.

If you think you do your rotation well enough, do some LFR bosses that don't involve aoe with gosup and then analyze your damage done. Check how much of the total damage was done by inci+conflag+chaosbolt+shadowburn+felflame and calculate how much 15% of that actually is. That's the extra damage you would have done, if you had gosac for that fight. Then just compare that damage with the dmg done by your pet and you have your result.

I personally don't think it comes down to "are you a beginner or not" as to which talent is better. In my opinion for GoSac to 100% be better than GoSup you have to add in a lot more factors than take your current damage and just add 15%. As GoSup keeps constant damage on a target when you have some mechanic or job to do (which can happen on many fights this tier) that moves you out of range or entirely prevents you from hitting the boss. With GoSup if something happens and you can't be on the boss your pet still does more damage rather than little to nothing coming from you.

But again, that's just my opinion there's obviously people who run GoSac and do it well (I even use it for H Jin'rohk for self dispells), I just think that there are a lot more factors than player skill as to which is best.

Also, he was looking for which talent was potentially best for him so I do think that Simcraft is still useful in this situation
