    Hahaha...
There was no soul well before TBC.
Each healthstone cost one soul shard.
Soul shard is a conjured item you get from killing a exp gaining mob with a tick of drain soul. Note that any other source of damage(DoTs) doesn't count even you are channeling drain soul. It must be drain soul damage which is really low because it was not a execute move like now.
and mages complain they have it hard....

Did some of you remember this elite shark in Stormwind?
Holy crap, he scared this shit out of me the first time I saw him...

Playing a female Tauren named Cheese and getting so much love for playing such a race/gender!
1-shotting ppl as a Windfury-Shaman with Unstoppable Force from AV!

Oh gosh I miss this times.

I would definitely come back for a vanilla or BC server!

I personally don't remember an elite in the canals of Stormwind (I did play horde when I first started), but a croc would explain why you fish up a baby croc for the outland fishing daily

You had to make friends to get something done.

And you didnt not swear @ them because next time it would be harder to get something done.
    Playing MMO's since 1997 ®
Ultima Online > Everquest > Dark Age of Camelot > Lineage 2 > World of Warcraft.
In between ofcourse all the other MMOs u can name. Those above spend atleast 1 year.

So true. And people say the communty was better then. It was better but only out of selfpreservation/interest (for a lot). Since you do not have to now (be friendly to get things done in the game apart from being friendly to guildies), people say the communty sucks. It is still the same damn community

Back in the day when the zepplin used to dissapear while over water. You had to swim back to shore to try and wait for it again.
It was a frantic rush for me to put water walking on any player I could find. Before we hit the water so they would crater. Brilliant trolling.

Indeed the community is the same, however attitudes were different, sure it was for self preservation, but it did make the game a more pleasant place to be:P

I wish for those times again tbh

Just last night I helped a complete stranger with leveling. His account was hacked a couple of years back and he stopped playing the game until now. He comes back to WoW and sees that no one really helps eachother. Now this guy is pretty much a noob again - but I helped him here and there. Went through a couple of dungeons with him and dpsed down a few "too difficult" monsters. I wanted to give him some gold aswell... but refrained from such sillyness - In the end I had to leave him cause I was getting tired and the queue for normal dungeons was just too damn long. We already waited like 20 minutes on the queue without seeing a time when the queue would likely pop.

Roll a tank or healer! that queue pops like a beast ive always had insta invites in LFD.

On topic, Just remembered the aq40 launch event. The guy I think it was a human mage was about to ding the bell or w/eit was to open the gates. A few rogues from a horde guild just killed him flat out. There was SO much rage on IRC and in /1 in wow. I was laughing hard, they were from a guild called confused my guild were a bit frustrated but some of the guys in it like me laughed hard. We didn't really like that mage from the alliance guild as he effectively strong armed the other guilds into getting him the mount etc.

Yeah I miss those times also Was nice to see people freely asking in general chat simple questions and geting non troll answers, people weren't scared to ask questions.!

I also love helping out new people I often send little care packages to lowbies I happen to bump into (some bags/lowbie greens for their level, pots a little gold etc) it's always nice to see them when they are all level capped and remember you years later I used to also run AQ 40 / BWL runs every sunday back in WOTLK (for the mounts even though I had them all) It was fun running the lower level players through and them getting some purples and we had alot of fun doing it, would constantly get poked throughout a week asking if the run was going and asking for a calendar invite etc. Was great. Now hardly anyone talks to anyone, unless to troll or be abusive in some way (outside of guilds/friends) Sad really

But but but my main is a healer - I was on an alt (and ultimately that alt would make the long journey through the normal dungeon a whole lot quicker, hopefully haha) - but yeah good tip, actually didn't think about the queue itself much when we just queued.

Healer queues afaik are not too bad. Tank queues are like this.

Queue as tank...... Invited to dungeon accept. Run dungeon.

It really is instant :P I found that during wrath when I was leveling my DK alt which is my main now. Once I discovered the power that playing a tank holds (in being able to instantly get a dungeon when I wanted) I never looked back. Now I run dungeons when I want (usually waiting for call to arms to pop so I can get me a bag of goodies)

For me he was always there in Vanilla. But at some point I think he got removed from the game. Then I heard something about people wanting him back. I've not seen this Croc ever since Vanilla or perhaps TBC. And I did swim a lot in those canals searching for questitems for the cooking daily or fishdaily or something.

I've even patrolled the canals for a good while, just cause I wanted to see him again in later expansions. And he was a GIANT m&*&*er.
