OT: I kinda get what people are saying about some of the styles on that page, though from all the photos of the Hydrogen H-1s, the main boot style, they look fine with the sole they've got on them, although they have more of a boot sole on them anyway.

That's personally the only style I really like, but I like wearing brown dress shoes with just about any kind of pants imaginable.

Essentially, they're a shoe from the 90s. Or from the 80s. Or from whenever you remember them. My first experience with Converse was actually in the early 00's in High School, but yeah, same thing essentially, sure they may have originated in 1917, but from my reference point, they're 90s shoes.

I never called them a shoe from anytime. I never wore them and never really cared for them. When i was a kid in the 80's and kids were wearing these and other expensive shoes. I had a choice cheap shoes that lasted me just as long as these did and a new video game or a name brand pair of shoes. I picked video games and cheap shoes.

Also more to your point. How can a child from the 90's remember a shoe from a time period they weren't alive for?

That's like telling someone they aren't allowed to talk about or reminisce about something that was popular during their childhood just because it was created before they were born.

To be fair, I could care less what my Hush Puppies looked like. They could have "Death to infidels" scribbled all over and I would still wear them. that's how comfy they are.

Exactly. I have a shoe i can wear everyday and to anything that a dressy shoe is warranted. However in the warm weather I will go back to my (hated by almost everyone) stand by of hiking sandals and socks because it's fucking comfy too.
