If none is at melee range of boss or echo, it starts singing right? What if mage or paladin is next to Echo (which doesnt move) in iceblock/bubble, does the echo start singing?

Nope. If you're in range, you stop the song. Our Paladin healer has saved the day on more than one occasion after the Echo tank dies right after an attenuation.

Iirc, the paladin can do it if he taunts the boss. Don't know about mage.

Echo starts Song if no one is in melee range. In P2, the boss should never do Song because he'll always follow his main aggro target.
