Red face Protectors of the Endless 10m Heroic question

    Hi,

My guild is about to attempt Protectors of the Endless 10m Heroic (Non-Elite) and its not much information out there.
We are using this order atm: Protector - Regail - Asani

    Our set up is
    1 tank warrior
    3 healers: disc/resto druid/pala or shaman
6 dps: Mage - Hunter - Lock - DK - Retri pala - ele shaman

Anyone have some tips to share?

    Tyvm in advance

    Elemental shaman PoV:

    - let your elemental, dk and retri interrupt Asani
    - Elemental is perfectly able to interrupt Asani and purge the buff
    - mage on boss, hunter and warlock on the adds
    - use heroism to burn down Asani

In P3 its all about perfect interrupts to succeed.

2 heal it, disc and hpally would be best.
if you can interrupt asani in p3 you win easy.
we use mage and warlock to kill adds, when you kill regail have all ranged switch over to kill adds and everyone just does FFA on there stacks

and there is quite a lot of discussion on these forums about this fight the search function is your friend.

About soaking the stacks. We use all 7 dps and tank to do this.

We soak in pairs like this:

First the 3 dps teams takes 3 stacks. Then the last dps and the tank takes 2 stakcs. Then the 3 dps teams take 2 and the last dps+tank takes 3. Now we're all on 5 stacks. After that, each team takes 1 stack each and if need be, we have a healer go out to take stacks.

This means, that we're 2 healing it as well.

Starting this one tonight and I still have one question left:

Can you control from which side the Sha Adds spawn from and if so, how? Have seen them coming from different directions in different movies

they come from where lei shi is. always.
they move in a straight line to the bosses.

we did 1 tank 2 heals, 1 monk tank and a couple different healing set ups (usually disc priest + 1)

Heroic-Elite Protectors is actually much easier than standard Heroic Protectors as long as your healers are solid and your damage output is where it should be. So to start with, I would recommend diving straight into Heroic-Elite. On Heroic-Elite you would kill Regail first, then Asani, and save Protector for last. Heroic-Elite is almost identical to Normal-Elite with the exception of higher damage and having to deal with the sha adds (which you have to deal with on both heroic versions). Assign three people to do an interrupt rotation on Asani's water bolts, have your ele shaman take care of purging the healing buffs the boss gains, and make sure the corrupted waters are taken down quickly. You will also need to add a second tank back to your composition. Once you discover what works best for managing stacks in your group a kill should be just around the corner.

Always do the minimum required to achieve the maximum possible result.
