    China is not measurable in terms of subs so the people-taking-part stat is malleable and used accordingly.

    Blizzard haven't said what a number in their total subs entails, so take that total with a massive pinch of salt. Total players (subs) could be 5-6 million and we wouldn't know.

    Yes they have. Many times. A sub is someone(account) that has purchased game time in the past 30 days.

    That's not a sub that should figure in total subs, a subscription means a reoccurring MONTHLY payment if the business model is to pay per month. IE you can't pay for a week or a day.

    Nothing about it having to be recurring. You don't get to redefine something because you don't agree with it.
