Bulding a new computer is these specs ok?

Hello I am building a computer with the following components and would like to know if i should change something or if it will be good like this!

    CPU: Intel Core i7 - 3820 Socket-LGA2011, Quad Core, 3.6Ghz, 10MB, 130W - Up to 4Ghz without overclocking

    •GPU : GeForce GTX 670 ''ForTheWin'', 1344 cores, 28nm
    •GPU Clockspeed : 1084 MHz (boost) / 1006 MHz (base)
    •Memory : 2048MB GDDR5 (256 bits)
    •Memory Clockspeed : 6208 MHz
    •Bandwidth : 198.6 GB/s
    •Bus : PCI-Express 3.0
    •Cooling : 2 Slot Fan cooler
    •Video-Features : HDMI 1.4a
    •Connectivity : DL-DVI-I, DL-DVI-D, DisplayPort 1.2
    •Product Size : 254mm x 111.2 mm
    •Power Connector : 6-pin*2

    Mobo: MSI X79A-GD45 (8D), Socket-2011
    ATX, X79, 8xDDR3, 3xG3+2xG2-PCIe-x16, CFX&SLI, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0, UEFI

    Ram Memory: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz 8GB CL9

PSU: Corsair or Cooler Master 750w? - Dont know if its enough, should be right?

What do you think? Will there be any kind of back throttle or am i fine like this? I will only play games on this one, and i want it to hold a few years.

Would recommend a Z77 motherboard with an i5 3570K instead for processor.
Would recommend against eVGA for GPU.

    Would recommend 520w PSU.

Save a ton of money, and get an i5-3570K and Z77 motherboard. It will perform better and be cheaper, and use almost half the power.

You also don't need a 750w psu. 500 is penty. That system probably won't break 350w.

Also, I wouldn't get the 670 FTW unless it's a "Signature 2" model. The standard has a meh cooling solution.

It isn't, based off the single fan cooling solution.

Unless you're totally sold on the "FTW" thing, I'm not even sure if thats marketing or actual modification.. I'd probably recommend looking at one of the Gigabyte solutions. They prove to do people well.

Unfortunately that isnt a signature 2 model. But with proper cooling it should be fine, also in case u will be using SLI in the future u should consider the higher watt psu u selected in the beginning.

Also the mobo i linked is Socket-2011 i don't know the difference but i heard Socket-2011 is newer should be better? or should stick to the Socket-1055 one? I have a Socket-1156 at the moment and i had so many issues with it.

I thought the FTW came with a stock OC, I could be wrong though. Even still, better off with a Gigabyte or MSI with better cooling and OCing yourself I think.

LGA2011 is newer than LGA1155, but the z77 chipset is newer and a LOT better than the X79, which is basically an overclocked P67.

If you mean 1156, I'm running one without problems. 1155 is much newer though, and you're better off with that platform and the i5 3570K

It isn't 'newer' really. It's just a different format to support different processors. However you won't get any benefit from an i7 (or at least haven't indicated that you do anything that would, beyond playing games). I liken the i7 to 4WD on trucks. It has a purpose, but driving to your office job isn't one of them, and isn't worth the extra cost. There is effectively no benefit to gaming.

I should point out (just so people don't flame me), that the i7 you picked DOES have a faster clock than the i5. However, the i5 overclocks so damn easy, that you could match the $250+ i7 on a stock cooler (I've pushed my i5 to 4.0ghz on stock cooler without issues)

The Socket 1156 is an industry standard. I can pretty much guarantee any issues you had were likely due to a particular piece of hardware you had causing problems, rather than the socket form factor itself being the issue.

Also im not that good at overclocking via bios, if there is a software like MSI Tune Up w/e it's name is then i can manage it, else i'll just screw things up. :P

Could anyone above build me a PC with i5, Z77 and GTX670 would appreciate really, cause there is so many things to pick from dunno which one is better, I can pay up to around $1200

Here is what i came up with:

    Intel® Core i5-3570K Processor
    Socket-LGA1155, Quad Core, 3.4GHz, 6MB, 77W, HD4000, Boxed w/fan

    MSI Z77A-GD80, Socket-1155
ATX, Z77, DDR3, 3xG3-PCIe-x16, SLI/CFX, VGA, HDMI, UEFI, Intel Thunderbolt

    MSI GeForce® GTX 670 2GB
    •GPU : GeForce GTX 670, 1344 cores, 28nm
    •GPU Clockspeed : 1045 MHz (boost) / 965 MHz (base)
    •Memory : 2048MB GDDR5 (256 bits)
    •Memory Clockspeed : 6008 mhZ (6.6Gbps)

    Or

    EVGA
    •GPU : GeForce GTX 670 ''ForTheWin'', 1344 cores, 28nm
    •GPU Clockspeed : 1084 MHz (boost) / 1006 MHz (base)
    •Memory : 2048MB GDDR5 (256 bits)
    •Memory Clockspeed : 6208 MHz
    •Bandwidth : 198.6 GB/s

thoughts? Also with this specs, the diffrence money wise is 100 bucks, which i can really afford if the one i linked first above is better, really. as i kinda like ''newer'' things better. but if the performance is really huuuuuuuuge compared to this one please tell me.

What is your budget in SEK? I assume you are Swedish since you linked to komplett.se
    Intel i5-3570K @ 4.7GHz | MSI Z77 Mpower | Noctua NH-D14 | Corsair Vengeance LP White 1.35V 8GB 1600MHz
    Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce 3X @ 1372/7604MHz | Corsair Force GT 120GB | Silverstone Fortress FT02 | Corsair VX450

    Aye it's SEK.

    Yeah but how much? ^^

The actual conversion from USD to SEK is something like $1 to 6.4SEK, but when it comes to prices on computer hardware the conversion rate is more like $1 to 10SEK due to taxes and import costs.

    You are confusing 'newer'

The 1155 Socket came out before 2011 Socket, however the 1155's most recent CPU is newer than the 2011's.

Regardless, 'newer' doesnt... mean anything. You're focusing on how 'new' it is, and not actual performance, specifications, and use.

but if the performance is really huuuuuuuuge compared to this one please tell me.
Stock, the i5 is equal to the i7. You're literally just throwing away $200. Like, literally.

Overclocking, the i5 beats the i7. And is still cheaper.

    ---------- Post added 2013-02-13 at 11:13 AM ----------

Also, if you're intent on spending money and getting a good system.. Take that $200 you -expected- to spend.. and get a nice SSD.

Unless you're REALLY pushing it.. You can probably get to 4.5ghz with a good cooler by simply using the motherboard bios software, and changing it from "34x" to "45x" and rebooting. That's literally it.

That's what he's asking. You said $1200, and then said SEK. $1200 SEK is like.. $190 USD... so which is it?

    The CPU is fine.

The Motherboard is fine, however there's really no need to get such an expensive one. There are much cheaper Z77 boards (MSI-Z77A-G43, G45, Asrock Pro 3, Pro 4, etc) that are just as good.

For the video card, I would skip EVGA entirely. Gigabyte, Asus, MSI, are probably your best bets.

Oh nice, thanks a lot. also i came across this one http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=760429 MSI Z77 MPower, Socket-1155 should i pick this one? seems good for OC and not that expensive at all and it has wifi wouldn't hurt :P
