[Balance] Best level 90 talent going into 5.2

Are there any actual numbers out there yet?

HOTW: 6% INT and STAM, with a proc to possibly give a massive raid cd to the group.

    DOC: Buff dots

    NV: 1.5 min DPS/Healing CD

I haven't really found any information on this. I was hoping to spark a discussion.

Use them situationally. With Tome of the Clear Mind you can drop and relearn individual talents without a full respec.

according to slippykins' wrathcalcin' it'll be hotw mostly, but NV is right behind and will be good for the passive healing it does and anything with a damage amp. it also looks like trees will be our single target cooldown with incarnation pulling ahead for multitargets. all things considered i'm pretty darned happy with the upcoming moonkin changes.

NV will be better for bosses with burn phases but HOTW will give a little more DPS overall with patchwerk fights.

DoC with the Crit trinket = 30% buffed, 100% Crit DoTs. Think about it.

yeah wasting half the proc on a crit healing touch is a dps loss

DoC is unpractically bad for moonkins in pve, then its HotW vs NV. Hotw being +6% INT and NV giving you a 30/90s 10% damage increase. If you look at the talents assuming our damage is distributed reasonably even over time, unlike it is now with 3 cd lined up every 3 minutes, 6% INT beats 30/90*10% damage. So only if you can make something more out of those 30s NV then on a standard fight, NV might potentially be better.

As has been said already, HotW will probably be your default, and NV for fights with burn phases or some kind of damage multiplier you can use to increase its effectiveness further. DoC is competitive on paper, but will fall behind on any fight that requires any movement at all (ie: ALL of them).

Single target fights, Treants are better than Incarnation, yes?

    Don't believe so.

Not really, no. On the pull, if you Healing Touch before the fight, and apply your first set of DoTs with the trinket procced, and CA up, you could theoretically keep those DoTs the entire fight with enough Crit.

If the boss fight has so much movement that you can't stand there and hard cast then yes, treeants would pull ahead, but other than that Incarnation is still king.

Um you would only need rougly 90% crit to keep those dots up the entire fight. No big deal. And the trinket isn't guaranteed to proc at the beginning of the fight.

After the 9% buffs, Incarnation is ahead in both single and x-target.

It only has about 10% proc chance on the first cast, in fact.
