World of Warcraft named 10th best game of all time

You have to scroll through, and it's purely opinion based, but this is the same website that also named WoW one of the greatest games of all time if you remember that article as well.

I know this thread may act as bait for fans vs. haters, but this is more-so the topic:

All of us on these forums have, at one point in time ,REGARDLESS of how we feel about the game now, loved WoW. Whether it was Classic, BC, Wrath, it doesn't matter. We all enjoyed the game, and all the article proclaims is that with all of its achievements and history, it can be called one of the greatest games of all time.

That said do not just jump into this thread and start mindlessly arguing because you hate or dislike the game as it is now, and the same goes for the fans of the game.

What do you guys think, though? The entire list itself, although some of the choices I disagreed with or was confused with, I thought was well constructed.

Do you agree with it? Do you think WoW should be placed higher or lower? Do you think it shouldn't even be on the list?

That said, Bioshock and Wind Waker are awesome games. And yes, WoW belongs on such a list, like it or not, what it accomplished is nothing but absolutely incredible.

Exactly what I thought. Hell the fact that they chose Wind Waker over OoT to represent the 3D LoZ games just goes to prove they randomly threw darts to decide what went where.

I dunno, but my personal list would go something more along the lines of, like...


1) Xenogears
2) Final Fantasy X
3) Xenosaga Episode 3
4) Skies of Arcadia
5) Ocarina of Time
6) Super Mario World
7) Mario 64
8) Metal Gear Solid 2
9) Persona 4
10) Yoshi's Island


WoW, for me, would be somewhere in 50-100 range. I don't hate the game! I love it! it's just as an actual GAME, it fails to many, many, many, many, many other games. The actual gamey portions of WoW aren't even all that fun. It's the social part + that + other things that makes it interesting.

Portal is my favorite game and the onlu game that i bothered to finish more than once. If you do not know it you need to stop playing wow and try it.
