pre-built pc wanted and help needed

I'm looking to buy a PC very soon and now I need some help. I've tried asking on the WoW forums but no help sadly.
I am looking for a PC that can run WoW on ultra throughout anything in the game. I don't want to lag due to lots of players or lag during big fights.
So really all I want to do is play wow on ultra and maybe some newer games at a medium-high setting. I might go back and play StarCraft 2. I'm on a budget of staying under 800$. Can be slightly over but not too high over.
I'm not experienced at building PCs though, so I don't want to attempt that even with watching YouTube videos because I know I will screw it up. So, a pre-built PC is highly preferred.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You best bet is to get an Intel i5 and overclock it as high as possible if you want as few FPS drops as possible.
    Intel i5-3570K @ 4.7GHz | MSI Z77 Mpower | Noctua NH-D14 | Corsair Vengeance LP White 1.35V 8GB 1600MHz

Okay, I'll make sure to get an i5 with whatever PC build sounds best. I have no idea what over clocking is though. Not too familiar with that kind of stuff on a PC. All about the gaming.

Highly doubt you'll get something pre-built for $800 capable of "WoW on ultra throughout anything in the game".

Well if it can't be pre-built, would my only option be building one myself, I'll get someone to get it all together for me.

best options on a prebuilt system would probably be cyberpowerpc.com or ibuypower.com. They can customize the specs to fit your budget.

Don't be too scared about a building it yourself though. If you watch a few video's on building computers on youtube it really isn't that difficult. Yeah, there are some things that will come up and you'll screw up, but that's part of the beauty of it and you will understand your computer better in the long run if you do. Hell, even overclocking isn't the most difficult thing in the world anymore either.

Something like this, however corners could be cut. You could lose the SSD, though you'll love it and never understand how you lived without it once you have it.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

    CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($19.99 @ Newegg)
    Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($119.99 @ Amazon)
    Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($49.99 @ Newegg)
    Storage: OCZ Vertex 3 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($73.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB Video Card ($283.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Titanium Grey) ATX Mid Tower Case ($99.99 @ Microcenter)
    Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($65.99 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($19.98 @ Outlet PC)

And yes, I understand it's over by $300ish, but this is really a smiple basic solid system. Again, where you can cut corners are the SSD. If you need the OS or not can also cut down heavily on the cost. You could go with a lesser graphics card but it will really limit you, and realistically it seems a waste to go less at this point because of what you want to do within your budget. You can also spend less on a case. I only went with the Fractal Design because I own one and it's an amazing case. I use an h100 with fans on high because of overclocking and I can't hear a thing from it.

    So yeah not even

    @stevo5566

You'll be looking at something like this, granted they're a little more expnsive maybe but good quality builds. ~$1250

I'm sure you can find something a little cheaper but it's going to take a hit on performance quick.

I understand, but if he wants to put together a good system, then a little be extra wouldn't hurt. And as the post says, there are ways he can cut corners, depending. And if it takes an extra month or 2 to get the funds, I would recommend it because spending that kind of money on a computer seems nearly pointless because it traps him into an inferior machine for what he wants.

This one wouldn't be bad at all:

Add whatever Windows version you want if you don't already have a copy. An SSD would be nice, in theory you could pay a little extra for a 120GB SSD and then add a storage drive later on or of course add an SSD later on, it's up to you.

This would be an excellent build for the budget and should fit his needs. You could save $20 by going for http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...D=3938566&SID= though. Or put the $20 to a Hyper 212 plus.

Ah yeah true, I always tend to spend a little extra on the case for quality, get front USB 3.0 etc. but for $30 that's not a bad choice.

Okay that fits budget, windows 7 is preferred and how much would those 2 be if I added them ahead with everything. What would the SSD help with?

If you have to buy one prebuilt then http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Intel...5_Configurator isnt a bad idea.

change the gpu to a 7770 you have 5 hours left to get the presidents day sale deal

change the ram to 8gb if you can squeeze it

and lastly change the power supply to a 500 watt. That should put you at around 730 dollars. You will still need a monitor though.

You can browse their monitors and buy one, or buy one from somewhere else. If you want to go prebuilt your going to have to increase your budget to 900+ dollars if you want a monitor

Replaces Caviar black 500gb with caviar blue 1tb (same price)

    7870 XT over ghz

good aftermarket cooler for easy overclocking (since theres no way you're going to never have lag in raids without overclocking the CPU. You'll still have some even then)

hopefully $40 over isn't a problem? It's mostly the CPU cooler which is well worth it imo.

    Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ~$90

    The SSD is $100

    Samsung 840 Series 120GB

So you could replace the HDD above with this, assuming 120GB is enough for your game(s), Windows 7 and programs until you can add a storage drive. If not the WD Black drive (HDD) is perfectly fine. The Black drive is better performance if it's the only drive in the system, if it's just for storage the WD Blue drive is fine.

SSD speeds up loading, your system overall will feel snappier/smoother, WoW will load a lot faster, reloading UI, Zoning etc.

For CPU heatsink if you want to mess with overclocking any time, the Xigmatek GAIA for $25 is perfectly fine.

If he wants a pre-built to run WoW at ultra in raids with minimal issues for $800 he's not going to do so with a pre-built

Also don't pay extra for a case (the Cooler Master case) with less "features" like losing front USB 3.0, either way that's my opinion. Then you might as well follow "Nocs" advice and get the $30 case.

How much extra would basic windows 7 cost and it said it has a minor incompatibility, is that a big deal? I'll most likely get this build because its in price range and seems to do everything I need. It can run wow on ultra right? StarCraft also? I might just download it if I can run it also. Not a big deal though.

Windows7/8 costs $89 for the basic version.

About the cases it is a question of how much over budget you are willing to go.

Take the 7870XT from his build and put it in mine, take either PSU. If you're not getting an SSD then I recommend the Wester Digital Black unless you think you need more than 500GB and want less performance. Really just pick whichever case you like, they're all ok. The NZXT 220 comes with 3.0 ports as mentioned. The Xigmatek Gaia or CM Hyper CPU cooler are both fine, the Xigmatek is slightly cheaper.
