To be honest the only time a concealed weapon is useful is when an assault is botched.

But here is the thing, this can happen off campus as well~stupidity at its best. I carry my concealed weapon everywhere except into government buildings, ie courthouse. Why? because I dont trust you. Now, a person that is competent enough that is carrying a concealed weapon should be aloud to carry. Why? because it is another system of self defence. Obviously the issue is the quaint notion of a woman getting a higher education. A woman wouldn't be in a situation of being raped if she simply stayed clear of the campus. It's a well known fact that hair salons, grocery stores, the laundry room and the kitchen are "Safe" zones and a woman is inviting trouble when they stray from those areas without a male (preferably their father or sanctimoniously wedded husband) escort.

This just strikes me as a pretty paranoid view, unless you live in the hood. I've gone my entire life so far without ever being mugged, and I walk outside at night alone in urban areas all the time. If I ever do get mugged, I'll hand over my cash and move on. If it were something that were happening all the time and the police were unable to do an effective job stopping it, I might have a different outlook, but carrying a gun on the 0.000000001% chance someone's going to try to rob you, and the 0.0001% chance that if someone tries to rob you, you can get to your gun fast enough to do something about it, just strikes me as really paranoid.

So in this guy's world, not only are women incapable of defending themselves against a physical threat, but they are incapable of even identifying a physical threat, and should therefore be deprived of the ability to try.
