How long you think Google Glass will be available for the open public in the world (not just the United States) ?
Its actual price for "Explorers" (People who get try it out, some kind of Alfa-Beta) is 1500$,thoughts?
Do you think this will be a common gadget in the future?
Personal opinion: I think is awsome that techonoly has lead to such great things!!. If I had the money I surely would pay to try it out. However i wonder if it would produce some kind of eye fatigue if you have them on for a long period ( 1 day ). I have a feeling that it will be available first in the US. I wish I lived there!!!

I think it's insane what is coming out these days... technology wise.
$1500 is a lot, I'd buy one as well if it weren't so much. Maybe the price will lower before the actual release?

Cool idea, but I mostly don't see it as being as useful as something with a touchscreen. I can't imagine talking to my headgear in public, or seeing others do the same.

To me the fundamental problem is linking social networks directly to your life at such a low level. The technology is nifty, but I simply do not want a real time visual overlay of twitter,google+,etc. I avoid social media like a plague, if this means I have to live without such toys then so be it. Pity really since I worked for many years in the early naughties and late nineties in virtual reality and stereoscopic imaging. I see a lot of potential for these things, but they are simply not worth my privacy.
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning.

It should also be noted that this is not really a "new" idea, simular devices have been tried in the past without much success. Mainly because people dont want to be "the guy with the head mounted display".
Granted, this is MUCH improved.It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shakes, the shakes become a warning.

Give it a few years and it will be 1/10th of the price and ten times as powerful.
Nice piece of tech though. Sets the stage for what's to come.

If it worked as well as they say, I wouldn't say 1,500 thousand is that much. My main problem is I need prescription glasses, but I still find this really awesome.

Until they show people how it really works (not videos like on the page) and until world will be ready for this tech this glasses are pointless. I can't always have a stable signal in my cellphone, how the hell this glasses allow me to stream lag-free video from a 500kmph plane or during skydiving, satellites?

The design is much more minimal than previous attemtps, but don't count on me using those glasses unless practically everyone else is, it still looks odd

It seems cool, but I couldn't see myself using something like that. I'm not a very "social networky" person. At most it would be a convenient newsreader, but I already have a smartphone for that.

I'd love to have one, but don't live in the U.S and nor do I have that kind of money anyway.
Once the price get's knocked down to say £250 I'd be willing to get one once they go on sale.
