Rogue 1v1 guides?

Why is it that every class has highly skilled players doing 1v1 videos for fighting different classes, yet i cant find any videos from a rogue pov on how to play. And please, because you assume im an fotm just learning to play, ive played my rogue since wrath, but strictly did pve.

Does the SK gaming site have nothing on this? I thought they used to.

5.0 rogues were the worst class ever on live, 5.1 rogues are pretty poor. 5.2 rogues look much improved. I suspect you will see a lot more interest shortly.


I'll be honest though- dueling strats haven't seemed to garner the same kind of respect that they used to. It occurs to me that I haven't seen a solid 1v1 guide in a long time.

I'm really interested in this subject also. Yes, they aren't that helpful in many situations due to the dominance of 3v3, but I also don't agree that their without value.

Come next patch, 2s will again become a viable method of accessing T2 gear, and in 2s there are far more lengthier periods where you as essentially 1v1ing players. The same is true sometimes when rogues have to ninja cap a base in RBG, many times you will be forced to fight a single defender.
Due to the ever increasing spell book size, there seems an increase of variation regarding how to handle different classes and when to pop what and in reaction to what. In fact, I've been considering trying to start such a guide myself here.

The main problem however is frankly, my lack of skill . If enough people were to get involved, discuss and criticise the info and suggest better, than it could still work I guess. Having said that, I'm also sure there's far more skilled and higher experienced rogues who could make this task a lot less painful (and probably attract better players in the process).

I have a great 1v1 strategy for dueling: Never come out of Stealth. Just go make a bowl of cereal or something and make them leave the area. You piss them off and make everyone think they are a coward for fleeing the duel =P. And HEY you're eating some of your favorite cereal while its happening.

I honestly found that dueling as a Rogue really DOESN'T change from class to class. Certain cooldowns and mechanics force you into some different things, but the strategy is still the same. Since we're super squishy we just hit and run everybody and ST to keep them at bay and the dmg up. Our talents are great for duels (which leaves me to question their actual usefulness outside of 1v1 situations some of our talents are worthless.)
