Unlock Codes - so many to choose from..

I'm looking to purchase a Galaxy S3 off someone locally which will need to be unlocked so I can use it on Telus (Canada) I've never personally unlocked a cell phone before, but I know its simple to do. Instead of paying someone locally $40 to do it for me, I figured I'd just do it myself. I looked online, and there are dozens of websites that offer these unlock codes.

I was wondering if someone could recommend a website they have used before, and what their experience was with them. How fast did they give you the unlock code, how expensive was it, etc..

A couple of places that explain the process for unlocking the phone and how you can do it yourself. I wouldn't honestly trust an online site to send you a code. Hell, sometimes if the person who is selling the phone to you calls their own provider, they might provide the unlock ode themselves.

I asked the women if she would be willing to do so, but she told me I could call them and ask - but I was kind of assuming that they wouldn't give it to me as I have never been a customer on their network..
