    Need help with English word

(While my question is little, this thread may later be useful for people who want to find out some specific English expression)

How would you call a hat like this in English? It ain't "top hat", and I cannot think of any other hat name (I'm not a native English speaker).
Want to try to find one like this on eBay/Amazon.

Oh, thank you. "pilgrim hat" yielded some results, but no actual hat on either eBay or Amazon. How do you think, where may I find such in London?

That's not really a standard hat. It's kind of like a pilgrim hat, a top hat and possibly a stetson had a baby. In particular the brim looks much broader than usual for a pilgrim's hat.

If you find something like that on eBay hell, get me one!

Nothing like that on eBay, sadly.
I think I'll have to salvage my old leather coat and try to make one like this meself. Can't be very hard.

I'd suggest contacting Lock & Co. Though they probably won't have the style you're looking for, they may know specialist manufacturers (such as for the film industry).

Alternatively, ring around some fancy dress shops.

its a beaver hat as worn by welsh women about 200 years ago, a cockel hat is more a dome with a wide brim where the brim is folded up to form a bicorn or tricorn .. it was called a cockel hat because they attached a shell from a cockel to it to show they had taken a pilgrimage to compostella in spain

If you want a hat like this you're going to need to have it custom made. So I hope you have cash ready for this.

He can also ask some cosplayers, they know some of the best tailors that can make their attires.

It's a Welsh hat. They were a common women's hat during the mid-19th century in Wales.

Maybe adventurer's hat? Or indiana jones hat?

I google searched the image and it is from the warhammer witch hunters...so a witch hunter's hat? This is somewhat close to it http://azmal.deviantart.com/art/Witc...-Hat-270784633 Van Hellsing's hat is also close to it. I think it somewhat looks like a slouch hat.

    It's a Pilgrim's hat.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
    All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
