Swapping for a new motherboard office PC

    Hello,

So my parents computers motherboard died. It started rebooting all of a sudden, did memtest86 and i got a shitload of errors:

Memory is bad, but swapping the memory for other DIMMS provided the same errors, so i'm pretty sure the motherboard is bad aswell.
The system which i made for them:
    Core i3-2100
    MSI H61MA-E35
    Corsair XMS 8GB
    Crucial M4 64GB
All other data is stored on my fileserver, and connected via gigabit LAN.

    TL: DR
Want to swap to a new board, wanted to ask what's better to pick for an office PC. B75 or H67/H77.
B75 has some cheap 50euro boards, that seem to be sufficient, but don't know if i'm skimping on anything important whilst doing so.

    Regards,

    Maj.

B75 boards are often recommended on these forums in combination with non-K CPU's. I'd say you're fine picking a decent B75 board. Not entirely sure if picking the cheapest option would be ideal, however.

Pick the cheapest, what you are missing out on B75 are raid support, SSD caching and some other non-vital functions.
    Intel i5-3570K @ 4.7GHz | MSI Z77 Mpower | Noctua NH-D14 | Corsair Vengeance LP White 1.35V 8GB 1600MHz
    Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce 3X @ 1372/7604MHz | Corsair Force GT 120GB | Silverstone Fortress FT02 | Corsair VX450

That MSI H61 board isn't that old, and MSI usually has 3 year warranty. Can't you just RMA the board and get a working one for.. free?

I don't have a spare PC, so they're basicly without a PC for the time it takes for the RMA to finish. Which could be weeks.
They need it on a daily basis. And the new board costed 53E. Warranty on the RAM expired.

That's fair. Then yeah, the B75 would be a good choice.
