    GPU recommendations

I have about $200 to work with and I've been looking at the following cards. I mainly play WoW, but I'm looking forward to Bioshock Infinite and the free copy with the 7870 has me stuck in limbo.

    XFX 7870

    Gigabyte GTX 660

Like I said before this card is going to be used 90% of the time for WoW, so I'm looking for any information as to how each card would perform in heroic 25 mans with high to ultra settings.

I'm also open to any other suggestions if anyone has any, but I really can't stray far from the $200 budget.

WoW heavily favors nVidia cards, so if that is the primary usage I would go with the GTX 660. The Gigabyte model that you chose has a nice cooler on it as opposed to the single fan reference coolers some other models use. I would go with it simply based on the fact you want it mainly for WoW.

That said, if your only running a single monitor at 1080p the 7870 won't be too far behind it, so if you are going to play the free game, that is not a bad option either as you basically just saved yourself the cost of the game.

Or maybe you meant to write 660.

I have about $200 to work
Btw, SAPPHIRE 100354OC-2L Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition is slightly cheaper. WoW does favot Nvidia cards so a 660 might not be a bad idea.

Only other card I would mention is the SAPPHIRE 100354XTL Radeon HD 7870 XT w/Boost but unfortunately it's a little above budget, performance is close to 7950 though.

A 670 for WoW only is a massive overkill and also like $180 over OPs budget, a 660 is more than enough for WoW.

Overall the 7870XT is the better card in almost every game.
Nvidia is very slighty better optimised for WoW true, yet the 7870XT is better than the 660 and should perform close to 7950 in the benchmarks below.

I was leaning heavily to the 660 so that's what I'll go with. I guess I just needed some input from an outside source to finally set my mind. Thanks to everyone that responded.
