In my opinion, I'd suggest you save up for a pair of at least $100 speakers, $40-60 just won't get you anything of any real quality. Most sub $100 speaker systems are very low wattage and won't have much sound or very good driving. If you can't save for anything higher, I'd suppose these are a decent deal for the money and are on sale right now:

Okay, I can afford more than 50$, so what do you suggest me? I think my mobo support 5.1 sound, so If a could get a 5.1 system for around 100 bucks it would be perfect

You can get 5.1 for that price-range, and you can get decent sound in that price-range.
You can, however, not get both at the same time.
5.1 is, in 90% of the cases always a waste.

I'd suggest the SP2500 from Corsair if you at all care about sound quality. If not, just get some crappy Logitech or Edifier.
    Make it 2.0 or 2.1.

I would too, but they are $205. =/ Thus why I said he should just save up some more money.

I know. And if he's not willing to spring for that, just get whatever. If you don't think you can tell the difference, and just wanting "sound", getting whatever works

Most can, but I can definitely understand the desire to get thing cheaper. Priceerformance is a powerful theory, both on paper and in practice.

Since this is now about internal components as well, moved to sub-forum.

I guess this is the new "Caviar Green." Not sure why they changed to this Intellipower branding, but okay. I have the Green 1.5TB 5900RPM and it works great, actually has pretty high write/read for a lower RPM drive!

Thanks, I'll buy it for my b-day

What's the weird 8 pin plug? I see SATA Power + SATA but there is a 8 pin plug on the left, is it for power?

No, it's for jumpers and stuff - just leave it alone. There is the SATA power and SATA data cables and those are the only ones you need to worry about.

    SATA power:

    SATA data cable:

Oh god, I tough jumper where not existing anymore on SATA hard drives, I used to have old pc and laptops, so SATA is new for me ^^

Quick question , I activated AHCI yesterday and my maxtor seems slower (he may be dying too, he's from 2001) is it possible that AHCI affected him?

There are adapters for them to be used in ATA configurations, so the jumpers are legacy to make sure they'd work. I wouldn't worry about them in a modern configuration.

    Then I wasn't totally wrong =P

Okay, thanks for the help, still have this question

    Logitech Z623 200 w 2.1 Speaker System, THX-Certified $130

This isn't "just whatever", still above budget but it's worth it compared to any lower end system you can find.

Hence why i said still above budget but my comment was more towards "Just get whatever if you're not getting SP2500 from Corsair" and it's ~half the price.

What's wrong with these http://www.scan.co.uk/products/micro...4w-wooden-case ? On a strict budget I thought they would suit the job nicely
