least: ashenvale (fucking almost quit the game slogging through there)

best: shadowmoon valley, love the atmosphere and lore in the area.
least: zangermarsh, quests there (well really the whole continent) were vanilla rehashes, just a lot of gathering quests that took forever.

Wrath,
best: storm peaks: love the quests(god of war style drake jumping) and lore and story there.
least: sholozar: dumb rep quests and a jungle in northrend? really?

Cata,
best: lost iles, love the story, characters and quests and goblins make it awesome.
least: deepholm, just because i have had to go through there so many god damn times when I'm leveling someone.

MoP,
best: jade forrest, love the scenery, and atmosphere of the area.
least: eternal vale, not really a leveling zone.

- Favorite: none.
- Least favorite: Desolace (although I have some very fond nostalgic memories from there).

Classic WoW (revamped):
- Favorite: Silverpine Forest.
- Least favorite: Dustwallow Marsh.

Burning Crusade:
- Favorite: Shadowmoon Valley.
- Least favorite: Zangarmarsh.

Wrath of the Lich King:
- Favorite: Storm Peaks.
- Least favorite: Grizzly Hills (used to be Zul'drak, but opinions change).

Cataclysm:
- Favorite: Mount Hyjal.
- Least favorite: Deepholm (not because I dislike the zone, but because I had to complete it every time I leveled a new character because of shoulder enchants, other than that it's an amazing zone).

Mists of Pandaria:
- Favorite: can't decide between the Jade Forest and Dread Wastes.
- Least favorite: Krasarang Wilds (I quite enjoy the story there, but for some reason I find the zone itself quite dull compared to the rest. The DO/Shieldwall dailies are nicer though).

Best : Winterspring - Beautiful zone
Worst : Azshara - In an odd place leveling wise

1-60 Post-Cata
Best : Badlands and Thousand Needles - Lots of great zones in the 1-60 revamp. Great quests, great lore, and you get your own boat.
Worst : Arathi Highlands - It's nearly unchanged from Vanilla, and they could have done so much with the zone. So much wasted potential.

60-70:
Best : Shadowmoon Valley, though you'd never level there these days
Worst : Blade's Edge Mountains - Painful if you didn't have a flying mount. Large travel times just to get 1-2 quests done. Not very interesting otherwise

70-80 :
Best : Howling Fjord - The music, atmosphere and the design were great.
Worst : I like all the zones, but Crystalsong Forest was a disappointment. It's one of the most beautiful zones in WoW, but we never got to quest there.

80-85 :
Best : Vashj'ir - Amazing visuals, and the size of the place was epic. Swimming worked out a lot better than I expected with all the speed boosts, and I liked that they were trying new things with zone design.
Worst : Deepholm - It's not a bad zone, but felt a little boring.

85-90 :
Best : Jade Forest - I love the Pandaria design in general, and Jade Forest had some great quests too
