Have been living in Turkey for 5 years, no way to see Turkey become an EU member...
More cons than pros !
My superlist is for me as some arguments may//may not be valid for public opinion (hell yeaaaaaaaah)
Water under the bridge. They currently cause more problems than they solve, at present.

Ah yes, I had forgotten that they'd been duped by Wilsonianism. Oh well.
If more people adhered to it, the world would be a vastly less complicated place, I wager.

Since, you are taking this aged bait seriously and making a comment over it I am assuming you have no idea about recent historical and political events in Turkey. Good luck on discussing the membership that even Turkey doesn't want
In the EU, there are companies that go at great length to find countries OUTSIDE Europe to do get some cheap import export going.
What I mean is we're not ethic masterworks up here neither. We re the guys that let someone else throw the stone for us.
And from an economical point of view, If turkey is found worthy of a membership, stuff will be changed and addressed.
No, we don't need Turkey and the last thing we need is even more "cultural fortune seekers" to infest our streets.
Okay, so you're saying that because Turkey has human rights violations you think that we shouldn't allow them to join and at the same time suggest that we should let Israel join? I hope you can see the irony in that.

They can hold it, it is theirs. No?

Britain? 10chars
I um.
I'm too lazy to flick through the thread to see if anyone else misinterpreted this as being turkey the animal, not Turkey the country. I personally thought it was hilarious, though.
If you are particularly bold, you could use a Shiny Ditto. Do keep in mind though, this will infuriate your opponents due to Ditto's beauty. Please do not use Shiny Ditto. You have been warned.
I am presenting the argument most of the pro-Israel Americans and Israelis in these forums use to justify Israel actions which is basically "might makes right." And no, I don't believe that this argument is right but I found it kind of hypocritical that the same people who use this justification for Israel actions are crying in this thread that what Turkey doing is immoral and that it should be punished just because they're Muslims.
So, yes as long as other countries get away with it because of their might I don't see why I should be critical only of Turkey and not the rest.
