    CPU Fan Upgrade - Help!!!

    Hello my computer friendly friends!

To get stuck into this, I am trying to get a CPU Fan for my computer, but I do not know if the one I may buy is too big for my current rig: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Arctic-Cooli...1117989&sr=8-1
As you can imagine, with a good graphics card, AMD Phenom II processor, I need some more cooling on that mo fo, and ASAP.

I cannot think I have done my computer any justice, but this is what it looks like:

    What case are you using?
    Intel i5-3570K @ 4.7GHz | MSI Z77 Mpower | Noctua NH-D14 | Corsair Vengeance LP White 1.35V 8GB 1600MHz
    Gigabyte GTX 670 OC Windforce 3X @ 1372/7604MHz | Corsair Force GT 120GB | Silverstone Fortress FT02 | Corsair VX450

It is an 'EZCOOL' case, but I changed the PSU on it to a 'PRO550W' from XFX:

My head hurts from that cable management :/ Seriously, don't throw the cables in the case like that and complain about temperatures later on. First things first, fix your cable management. As for the fan, I wouldn't recommend that one over say, the EVO 212. These coolers might give you clearance problems with your RAM sticks but from the picture it looks like they are LP so it should be fine. Tests shows that cooler performing sub-par compared to alot of cheap alternatives, giving it a pretty bad performance/cost ratio.

Well the Freezer 7 should fit in that case, the case is 200mm wide and the cooler is only 125mm high.

The Hyper 212 Evo is standing out 159mm from the motherboard and you will probably run into clearance issues with that.

I opened the side of the case, so they all pretty much spilled out, they were neater, I took them quickly, because I was in a bit of a rush, apologies for the 'head hurt' :/

As for your good advice, is this the one you are referencing?

I have not bought the other one, but I know certainly that coming to you guys first with your better knowledge is much more smart than just buying and trying, with a result of a few sticks of ram being taken out, and if it means lesser noise and better cooling, all the better for myself.

Edit: I shall make sure they are better placed and laced up with those thin plastic straps.

Very true, for me, it was more about the CPU fan overspilling it's plate so I would have to take out Ram, which I would rather not. Either are within' my buy range.

Whatever you end up with... PLEASE do some cable management before closing that thing up after the install, moving all those cables to behind the Mobo tray and out of the main area will itself help keep the puter cool by way of better airflow. An hour of your time and 2 bucks worth of zip ties will do WONDERS for your internal temps.

Don't worry, I see that all the time. People underestimate cable management. Hyper 212 Evo might give you clearing issues as Nocturnal said. Can you get a hold of a Zalman 9500 or is that outside your budget?

The price itself is not bad for me, I just need to make sure it fits within' the case,

Edit: Sorry my internet went down last night, thank you all for the responses by the way!
