I don't really think anyone there is a "loser".. Tho I know what you ment, it's actually going quite good for my favorites.
This year is absolutely better than last year

That's just an ignorant thing to say Swiffty, but moving on.
Really liking Seth MacFarlane so far, William Shatner's bit went a bit too long, but overall it was amusing. No real surprises on the awards given so far, let's see how the rest pans out

From One Day more, to Seth Macfarlane hosting, to Anne Hathaways nipple dress, I've enjoyed it. And I haven't enjoyed the Oscars in a long time. As much as I'm a Ricky Gervais fan, I haven't really liked what the host is doing since Billy Crystal until now.

I think Seth McFarlane is capable of judging the audience to know what is/isn't the level of good comedy.
And the Oscars having more prestige than the Golden Globes, he knows to push the boundary but not Gervais it.Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.

David Niven was a classic, but yes in the modern era Billy Crystal is just a brilliant host. Personally I'd love to see someone like Robin Williams give it a shot, I can't help but think he'd be perfect. Originally Posted by Hinalover
