confused when 5.2 "might" be released.

There have been announcements where they said "maintenance to apply Patch X.x before", but I guess they are not 100% sure it will be on the 5th on this one?

It's going to be the 20th for EU unless they fancy releasing it along with starcraft also, which is doubtful.

Anyone thinking it's this reset are thinking that due to the current ptr patch being a release candidate IT CAN ALL CHANGE, I would be incredibly surprised if they do indeed launch it this rest, would be a very rushed decision imo.

did the release of MoP feel "rushed" to you when it came out 3 months before people thought it would? cause it sure didnt feel rushed to me. this 5.2 patch has already been up for testing for 2 full months now. not sure what you are expecting, if a beta only needed 6 months to get ready, why would a simple patch need half as long? yah it will be the 5th. and it will be fine. and we will have fun in ToT.

if they were going to delay it 2 weeks why did they rush 25 man testing into 8 days. 3 normal 2 days off then 3 days of heroic? they rushed testing to get it live Time is money and blizz only cares about money.

Nope, it will be on the 5th, or 6th in EU. The arena season always ends on a patch launch day.

its been known since early January that it will be either 5th or 12th of March, except for some early rumors about end of March.

patch IS march 5, the odds of any type of delay are very small.

I agree it looks quite likely that the patch will be March 5th, what surprises me is the fact that they haven't officially announced it yet. Would they really release such a large content patch only 2-3 days after announcing a date? seems unlikely to me but in any case I'm super pumped for 5.2!!

Source? Because I've yet to see any official confirmation of it being the 6th in EU, I hope it wont be as our guild are aiming to do an all day raid when it hits, and ifg they give us 1 or 2 days notice that is going to be super annoying.

Zarhym during the interviews on gamebreaker, was monitoring chat, in chat he stated it will be tuesday the 5th unless the yeah or nay meeting on monday ends up against.

They never announce patch dates, we usually see that at nights of release in maintenance notes.

Even if they waited 2 more weeks, there would still be plenty of bugs. It's an MMO, not a polished single player console game. And it's an MMO that's been out for a long time. With such a massive amount of classes and content and gameplay options between PVE and PVP, bugs will exist. They will.

The source is the chat of the Gamebreaker interview with Ian and Ghostcrawler, in the interview Ian said 'This coming week" Chat started going crazy so Zarhym chimed in with:

Zarhym: "Yes, the plan is to release patch 5.2 this Tuesday...." They were having a meeting later that afternoon as a final Go/No-Go making sure that everyone was ready.

So barring any critical errors, the Patch is Tuesday March 5, 2013 for US Servers

In an interview with Ghost Crawler and Ion Hazzikostas, Ion stated that 5.2 would be released this week. To what extent that was a slip of the tongue remains to be seen.

While it's highly unlikely, Blizzard did change the 2 week warning for arenas into a 3 week warning just 2 days before the scheduled end in season 9. And there hasn't been any confirmation that 5.2 WILL be on march 5th/6th but yeah, it's still the most likely date.

Do they usually announce the patch before launching? In my experience they never say the actual day its coming out they just say its coming soon (like they have) put up a trailer and what-not and u find out its out when u log in on tuesday and have to dl the remainder of the patch.

in my time playing this game which is since ulduar. Ive only seen 1 time they announced a release ahead of time. Think it was DS that announced like 6 days before it actually hit.

I think they never should have announced Cataclysm. But its good to see 5.2 is coming live 6th
