Question Need help with processor fan

Hey all, I've posted in here before and always been happy with the replies. My processor fan has been running really loud for at least a year and a half now, but probably since I built it in Dec '10 and just never noticed it. Currently my set up is:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103808)
CPU fan: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065)
    Motherboard: ASRock M3A770DE (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813157176R)
    RAM: GeIL 4GB DDR3 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820144461)
    Graphics Card: VisionTek 900329 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814129163)
    Power Supply: Antec Basiq BP500u
    Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811164093 (It's pretty bad, I know)
    Case fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835200048
    Operating System: Windows 7

I'd like to make my computer pretty quiet if possible. If I need a new processor and CPU fan, then so be it; preferably a mid-upper range one. I believe a new case would also help since the one I have now has pretty poor ventilation.
I'm also looking for a new mouse if you have any suggestions. Thanks in advance for the help!

Also, for cases I'm looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119197 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119196 , so if you have any feedback on either case as to why it's good, bad, or another case that would be better, that would be appreciated.

You should be able to turn the speed down on the Hyper 212, no need for buying a new one really. Just make sure your CPU doesn't go above 62c.

The Evo is PVM controlled so either in BIOS or with a program that can adjust it like speedfan.

Otherwise if you really do think the fan is faulty, just buy another one of the correct size. They're like $10.

You may check the fan. I have the same cooler and have had to replace the fan once already. It was getting to be very loud and eventually quit spinning.

Replacement fans are super cheap though.
