    [PVP] Enhancement self-healing in 5.2

    Hey,

do you remeber this blog post?

    PvP
We're making a change to the way damage-to-healing conversions work so that the healing is not affected by resilience. The healing will be based on how much damage would have been done as if the target had no resilience. If you hit an opponent for 10K and have a mechanic that converts damage into 50% healing, your hit may land for 6K because of resilience, but the heal will still be 5K (50% of the unmitigated damage). This only applies to resilience, not to armor, Shield Wall or other forms of damage reduction.

This change currently includes Atonement, Glyph of Battle Healer, Ancestral Guidance, Vampiric Embrace, Nature's Vigil, Glyph of Siphon Life, Eminence, Glyph of Flame Shock, Leeching Poison, Death Siphon, Feral Spirit and Soul Leech.
So does this mean ancestral guidance + ascendance + wolves will heal you to full every 2 min? This, and the fact that all self-healing (from healing spells) will be increased by 25% of pvp power and 60% of that boosted healing (up from 40%) will be replicated by ancestral guidance?

Sounds solid to me, did anyone try it on the ptr? Any comments?

The AG buff is for healing conversion (ie. resto) only, not for damage conversion afaik.

Yes, but the change to resilience will affect every self healing mechanism, including wolfes and AG.

Well you'll also be healing you're self as Enha in PvP, so there's another buff right there.

I think some people misunderstood most of my post:

    1. During Ancestral Guidance, all damage will be converted to 40% healing, as if the damage were done to an enemy with 0% resilience. This means that AG from damage will heal for 2-3 times more than on live.

    2. During Ancestral Guidance, all healing by healing spells will be increased by 60% (up from 40% on live), amplified by an additional X% based on your PVP power. So here we have again about 2 times more healing than on live.

This can potentially heal an enhancer from almost dead to full during an ascendance, provided the damage is not mitigated by cloak of shadows or die by the sword f.e.
