5.2 Weapon Transmog Question

Okay, so I read all the new changes to transmog, and when I saw maces could be interchangeable with swords I was like "aWEWT!". But some people I talked to speculate that class equipping restrictions will still apply.

I haven't made a toon on the PTR, I don't even own a sword to test this theory out. I'm wondering, can anyone here confirm or deny definitely that the weapon transmog applies to all classes or still will fall under equippable only guidelines? If the latter is the case, this seems a heavy downer to everyone that plays a cloth caster or a caster druid as they would still have a full effect of restrictions.

If you can't equip it, you can't 'mog it. So no dagger paladins or sword druids.
