Word has come in through the bush that something strange has happened at sunset. There seems to be a mass gathering of animals at one of the local watering holes. A water hole that hasn't had any water in it for years.

I am going out with some local guides to investigate. I should be back within the next 2 to 8 hours with an update.



Night has officially started. Please get your night actions in. Night will end in 24 to 30 hours (I will update the night end time when I get back with an update of what happened in the bush.)

After about a 30 minute ride out into the bush we witnessed something weird. All the animals seemed to be gathering together to chase down another animal. It turns out that Themius had been spending his time off in an adjacent game reserve (Themius posted plenty in GenOT) and the animals of the Maasai Mara did not approve.

Fellow hyena even joined in on the hunt.


When all was said and done Themius had been chased all around the Mara. He got so tired that he was ganged up on and killed (pictures are too graphic to share).


Themius, a member of the Blondie Hyena Clan (Mafia), is dead.

Day 2 of our trip into the Maasai Mara began with this beautiful sunrise.




From our tents we could hear that all of the animals were extremely active last night. This made it so that we wanted to get up first thing in the morning to see if we could decipher what had happened. It's hard to figure these things out because literally anything and everything happens under the cover of darkness.

Well things started off rather normal. We found lots of general game going about their business.




Then we stumbled upon two rather gruesome scenes.

We found a Zebra known as Holz dead and being finished off by vultures. The vultures came in to clean up someone elses work so we're not exactly sure who killed Holz



We also found Foxximcleod, a member of the Blondie Hyena Clan to be dead. The only remnants of her we found were bones, so whatever got to her finished her off in a rather quick time.
