Well, the current mastery does increase fistweaving healing, as Eminence heals do cause healing sphere spawns.

But seriously, Gift of the Serpent is just awful right now. Even back in beta people were calling it "Lightwell: The Mastery" and that should have been a red flag to the dev team.

But even now you'll find some Monks who stack Mastery and don't even bother with Haste breakpoints. I was a bit shocked when I saw the new Mistweaver that the "better" group in our guild recruited. Even in their logs it was silly, that guy didn't even have a higher GotS percentage in heals than I do. With proper reforging he may actually have been able to not constantly be 10-20k HPS behind the Priest. Funny sidenote though, even with that he manages to rank on WoL due to the early state of the Tier. Try to tell someone like that that he might actually be doing something wrong...

Ranking is really just about timing your TFT and Uplift/Chi Torpedo/Chi Burst spam for the 45-60 second apart burst AoE phases on every fight.

This. Healer ranks are pretty worthless - what matters in healing is healing the right person for the right amount at the right time, which is something that WoL cannot measure. Ever.

And unless you're FW, ReM is to RNG to do this efficiently.

You don't give Renewing Mist enough credit. What are the situations where it falls short and you don't have another tool that will get the job done?

It's great for blanket raid healing. AoE Raid Damage? Renewing Mist is already ticking on 6-12 targets (you knew the AoE was coming and TFT'd, right?) followed by 2+ uplifts. Those 6-12 targets are now ~80k higher health than everyone else, and Circle of Healing/Wild Growth/Light of Dawn heals those other 13-19 people you missed (followed by some Chi Torpedo love to top everyone off).

It's not really a tool for spot healing--you're expected to use either Soothing Mist or Fistweaving for that.

I've recently fixed a bug to do with scaling in the spreadsheet after realizing Soothing Mist numbers were way off, and properly included the statue in calculations. It does a respectable amount of healing and has a relatively high mastery coefficient which means it will usually spawn a few orbs around your target, it's pretty powerful for spot healing at the minute considering you'll probably get in 2 ticks before any other healer apart from paladins have a chance to react.
