    Shadow: Solace and Insanity

    Holy shit. I decided that I wanted to try out this new talent and went to the Isle of thunder where a majority of the mobs there are right around ~590k health or more. That coupled with Divine Insight is ridiculous. Getting the proc for MB and then using DP into MF, they mobs were falling like butter. I am in almost full Season 12 Malevolent, and I was getting 62k DPS on random mobs where before I was maybe sitting around 47k.

    I must say that I am VERY satisfied with this change. I tried to 3 DP then MF a mob, and by the time I was done WITH JUST THOSE 2 SPELLS, I was already able to SWD them. (Granted that was the ~450k health mobs.

    The only downside to this is that you only get the insanity buff while DP is up, so no matter what, as soon as you cast DP, you need to be MF'ing the shit outta your target. Even if you refresh SWP, that is a 1 sec GCD and that is a LOT of wasted time considering DP is only up for 6 seconds.

    Also, if you DP at 3 orbs (is there any other way) then that is a increase of 99% damage for MF for those 6 seconds. I was mowing down mobs in a matter of seconds.

    Anyone else have an amazing/noticeable dps increase when using Solace and Insanity? I am leaning more twards keeping this than going back to FDCL.

    I should also add that I have DP bound to my Malevolent Gladiators Badge of Dominance (458 dreadful - The tooltip on my characters page says it is a increase of 129 SP, not sure if that is accurate, i remember that being more for some reason)

    Yeah its pretty neat!
    was testing it out on one of those 750k mobs with just DP and Insanity, it died on the last channel of insanity so its really good
    note that im in 495 pve gear

    It's pretty awesome in group PvE content too. With all the nerfs to FD;CL, intended or not, it's now only competing with Mindbender, which I'm having trouble justifying using again.

    If I cast a 3-orb DP and Divine Insight procs right when I start channeling MF:I, should I clip MF:I to MB or is MF:I #1 on the priority list while DP is active (above MB, DoTs, Halo, etc)?

    #1 - DP with SOx3
    #2 - MB on CD, especially DI procs
    #3 - SW: D x2 below 20%
    #4 - MF:I while DPx3 is up
    #5 - SW:P / VT
    #6 - Halo / Cascade

    MF when you don't have anything else to do

    The above makes selse for PvE fights, however I think that PvP you would not want to clip because that is a lot of damage in a short window. Clipping it, means you will not be able to get it for another 16 seconds (if you do not get another proc)

    Plus In PvP, MF is used more because of either snare effect or the speed boost if you glyph it. I do not PvE, but from a PvP standpoint, it does not make sense to clip it becaue the proc will be there after the 6 seconds.

    Sorry if I didn't clarify. I assumed that poster was referring to PVE, nothing else. So my response with the link to the priority list was based solely on PVE. I can only assume priorities would be vastly different for a player with ~500k hp vs long 5-10min fights in raids.

    What do you do when u just have popped berserking, PI, potion, got bloodlust and 2 trinket procs, just casting 3orb DP while standing in 40% dmg increase aura on 1st boss, and right now u receive debuff from that lighting ball and have to move.. ?

    That's when you go "Well....fuck this game -.-".

    Anybody that has a list of which talents is best on which bosses, insanityupdated? I know i saw one that would tell which of DI/ToT and halo/cascade/divine star that would be best.

    So we no longer have to cast PW:Solace with a few ticks of SW:P remaining?

    I like insanity a lot, just a shame it makes us less mobile. Doubt I'll spec into FDCL again this expansion unless they revert that nerf/bug that causes it to proc a lot less than it used to.
