I hit exalted a few days ago. But mainly because after doing the dailies in Isle of Thunder, I was seeing if I could get some of the cheevos associated on that island. So, of course many mobs would get in the way and I'd kill them for fun. Plus some cheevos have rare drops, so that requires killing mobs as well.

Apparently you also get rep for killing mobs while in a raid. So best way : get 40 man raid, and all grind isle of thunder :O, should get all to exalted pretty quicky...

If you do the dailies often, no need to farm explicitly, you'll reach it soon.
If you don't, I've found that the temple grounds with all the animated mogu statues are a great place to farm for the reputation.
