Vietnam? I kind of agree with you, but I don't feel the same guilt about abandoning South Vietnam since it's actually not a bad place to live now. Don't get me wrong, if it had been up to me we would have stayed and held Saigon forever. But I don't think anyone there is still suffering because of our withdrawal.

You may be right. I probably am a bit sadistic. But I don't act on these thoughts. And whether the dog was on a leash, or just a good dog, at the end of the day all that matters is that there's no shit in your yard.
