Homeworld 3

Hello everyone, I'm here to share the news that an indie group is trying to buy the rights to homeworld in an auction for THQ's lesser known assets. Right now they are trying to gather $50,000 minimum but have only reached $8,000 via kickstarter.

I don't really like the idea. They've only been making games for the last two years, mainly phone games. Why do they need to own the Homeworld IP? They should just make a Homeworld-like game and show us what they can do it.

I'd like to see HW3 tackled by a proper studio or left alone tbh. Interesting concept though of Indie groups purchasing the rights to certain IP titles

I can't support this. 50k to make a Homeworld game? Dividing attention between a mobile remake of the original and a new installment on the PC? Nope.

Sega will probably buy it, they already have Relic. Sadly, Relic is currently busy with COH 2, and probably DoW 3 after (actually on second thought i'm not so sad:P), but there's a chance we will probably see Homeworld 3 from Relic someday.
