TCG mounts other than spectral have been worthless for a long time. Prices were brought to nothing by dupers (so much so for hte only one of any value left - the spectral - people demand proof of authenticity usually), and you can buy them with an investment and end up with $0 lost. Usually making a tidy profit on your dealings.

The only reason the spectral is an outlier (and hence can't be compared) is the boosters no longer actually sell and more people care about it's looks.

How about this as an example (that happens all the time), You buy an item for X, a month later the item goes on a sale for like 75% clearance or some silly deal. You can be pissed all you like but is the business at fault? No, they are not and complaining about it will at best get you a sympathetic refund or exchange. They do not HAVE to do that and 99% of the time won't (in most countries). There are plenty of times where the clearance was unknown of until the day it occured.

Add onto this, in your example you clearly bought a car that you paid for the exclusivity at the time. There was NO guarantee that the company would release more (usually in the details of a limited edition item) and you were a fool for assuming just because you couldn't find one it was exclusive. The mount was never stated as exclusive and we've had near-clones for plenty of TCG items, and TCG items that were near-clones of others. Probably plenty of real clones too.

Last of all.... your sig... it's spelled "Professor"
