What would be the most dps spec for 5.2? single target. Aff or demon?

Depends on your ilvl. I'm not sure the exact break-off point, but somewhere between 509 and 530 average ilvl Affliction starts dealing significantly higher single target dps than demo.

Anything below that threshold and technically demo is simming higher than affliction.

Of course this assumes you're equally efficient at both.

If you're not confident enough in cooldown timing and resource/meta management with demo, then you'll end up doing more dps as affliction anyway.
