"Look around you. We're all liars here, and every one of us is better than you" - PB
"I see we have visitors. Two arms!" - Mar'tak
I'd rather have the big slew of Wrath dungeons we had rather than scenarios, to be honest. To each his own, though I guess.
Do not underestimate us.
Cant they just use more or less the same mechanics from some of the bosses in ToT and SoO for dungeons in 5.4, im sick of doing LFR and HC scenario where i MAY get an item and most likely i already got better if i even get an item either LFR or hc scenario
This game is killing itself
Scenarios are fucking atrocious. The story is presented horribly; instead of big epic set pieces we get a fly-through camera with a voice-over, then escort an NPC through 30 trash packs of 3 mobs each, followed by a boss no-one's ever heard of which might get a one-liner out before you utterly destroy his face without a care for what he can do because not a single ability even hurts you.
Daily quests and daily "hubs" can fucking do one. I didn't enjoy Quel'danas for the quests; I enjoyed it for the grouping up with my guild-mates, the PvP and the banter. That existed somewhat in Isle of Thunder, but it took them so long to refine dailies in this expansion that it left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth and I stopped going to the island altogether.. I also don't like dailies having an effect on my raiding. Dailies should be self-contained and optional - purely for gold and a bit of JP/VP like it was in TBC.. NOT "encouraged" via extra raid drop tokens.
I'm all for more game-modes and I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with the concept of scenarios. What I don't like is that they're taking the option of making this brainless, soul-less content that requires no balancing whatsoever, since there's not supposed to be an element of challenge, instead of creating a couple of good solid 5mans that I can enjoy tanking or healing with my guildies.
I unsubbed a few months ago but was looking at the new patch and re-evaluating my account status... heroic scenarios make me laugh honestly... Yes, please let me pay you more money Blizzard so I can redo the same shit trash-grinder content but have it take 8x as long because you scaled the HP up. SOUNDS REAL FUN *eyeroll*

I don't think you like to even quest. I wish that Blizzard would figure out a way to do a random daily quest where it picks from a long list of possibilities so it is not as repetative. If dailies gave Justice or Valor they would not really be optional but mandatory for end game content.
Scenarios are meant for players who want to run dungeons but no one is on and they don't want to do randoms. Or they don't have any friends.
My account will be deactivated in a week and do not know if I'll open it again. I would come back if they do a lot of changes or DayZ gets to the point that glitches are not fixed in the next patch (disconnecting every half hour and vehicles doing flips randomly).
That's too bad..
I kind of liked the 3 dungeons given during the last patch of Cataclysm. It was a nice way to get caught up on gear rather quickly if you'd been gone for awhile and they were fun. The only exception was Hour of Twilight.. Didn't like that one so much, but the other two were interesting.
I wonder how they are handling gearing? If Cataclysm wouldn't have added new dungeons people would have been stuck in 346 heroic gear unless they were doing normal raids.
Edit: Do scenarios drop gear as well? I always thought they were cosmetic... or is that challenge modes?
It's OK, I hate dungeons anyway.
Also dungeons are different from scenarios most of the time. Most scenarios use levels that are already there (I know that ragefire and vale of eternal blossom have new levels). In dungeons on the other hand we have at least complete new levels that are only created for this one dungeon.
In Cataclysm they started out making them really hard without having them drop anything worthwhile and then at the end they swung to the opposite end of the spectrum and made them super easy while dropping Firelands-level equipment.
Now they just gave up completely. They're super easy and they don't drop anything decent. They don't even give JP and the amount of valor you get isn't worthwhile when you consider that 30 minutes of daily quests will gain you far more.
Blizzard will argue that LFR is the new end game progression path for casuals but they don't seem to understand that some players just don't like to raid, period. Not even if it's an easy raid. I would rather spend 45 minutes in a difficult 5-man because it's easy to see where we're failing (if we're failing). Adjustments can be easily made. It's much harder to explain the fight to 19 DPS with different classes than it is to explain the fight to one or two. I unsubscribed and do not intend to resubscribe unless they start putting in something besides raids and grinds.

I don't care. Dungeons are boring. I've been doing Scenarios for Valor for ever now.
I prefer heroic scenarios to LFD, so whatever. Too bad for the people who like dungeons I guess.
Q: Where the fuck is Xia Xia, SIU?!?!
A1: She needs to start making eggs for Easter...
A2: Drunk and sleeping somewhere.
Patch 4.2: THESE 5 MANS SUCK
Patch 4.3: THESE 5 MANS SUCK
MoP: WHY ARE THERE NO NEW 5 MANS!?
People will complain about anything they don't have, even if they really don't want it. Doesn't matter to me anyway, I feel they finally got small group content right with Heroic Scenarios. They're great fun.
There we go... I added some context for you. It would have been nice if they had made an effort to understand why people were complaining instead of wildly swinging to extremes.

3 ICC and patch 4.3 5 man heroics are well designed and tuned.
They are good introduction to the last raid, and good catch up gears.
Sure, it only lasts for a few weeks, but $15 for 3 dungeons are not a bad deal for Blizzard.
We have enough 5-Man dungeons I think?
We need more Senarios!
