Twisting Nether had him pop up so alliance side managed to put together some raids using CRZ. He's definitely not "easy" per se but the fact that you can just keep zerging him is what makes it feel easy.

Also because I wasn't the one that put the group together for TN but how are others doing this CRZ? Is there a place to find out when oondasta is up and people are forming up groups using CRZ? I figured it might be a website or forum.

I made a cross-realm thread on the WoW US D&R forum.

Spawned at around 22:00 yesterday on Gilneas EU. Took us (4-6 raids) 3 tries (+1 if you count the pull of the ~10 horde roaming in the area). The area still looks like a graveyard - if we were dinosaurs we would have enough bones to collect for the quests there.

Downed it on Xavius (+CRZ) last night with around 120 people zerg. Didn't think of pulling him to GY for full on zerg mode but worked out on spawn point after a couple of tries when the good dps had found spots to stand on where the noobs wouldn't spread the chain on them :P.

same on my server. it was a 1 shot too. at least 3 raids there though, except mine was pretty much decimated by the end (10 people left maybe?) there was a monk tank so the armor debuff doesnt matter for them.

't Was supposed to be a challenge.... Then we got three full raid groups of 40 people and said: screw tactics.

Spawned a few hours ago on Vek'nilash US. Alli killed him, looked to be at least 100 people there if not more

What were they thinking with the frill blast? 1 second cast? It may as well be an instant cast with a big FUCK YOU popup. The tank is going to die from the inevitable lag from so many people being there

He is objectively less forgiving than Galleon, but he should apply a debuff to people who die, much similar to the way old Doomwalker and Kazzak did, which prevents you from safely entering combat with the boss for 10 minutes. There, no more zerging.

Get a better geared tank? We had a DK soak pretty much every frill blast without dying.

Of course, he was a DK...

Tanks can easily live with Shield Wall + magic CD. Heck even on my WW monk I just popped Diffuse Magic and Frill Blast tickled.

Killed it with 38 people on Dentarg EU. Guess having more people actually makes him harder

So much for being aimed at heroic raiders and needing a coordinated group

Zerging him to death seems to be standard and I can't believe Blizzard didn't think of this.. People have been doing it since vanilla? maybe some new devs over there that weren't with with when vanilla outdoor bosses existed.

Attempted him on magtheridon via cross realm group, we crashed the damn CRZ server. Boss was 9% at best try.
But mechanics wise it's really easy. Tanks communicating with eachother taunting it away from raid, raid staying spread out, popping personal cd for his aoe...
Zerg actually makes it harder than it is, boss being ping pong taunted in all directions, raid making big stacks of people so one cast of this bolt thing kills like 50 people at once while it's almost harmless when it strikes one player thats properly away from another...

For a DPS in proper group it is patchwerk style fight at it's finest. All you have to do is stand and nuke while spread out. No adds, no target switching, zero special activities like CCing, painting tiles etc.

The Troll Raid has a troll world boss as well. Hilarious

    180 degree 1 shot cone.
Stacking tank debuff on a non-tauntable mob.
10 yard chain lightning that 1 shots.

This is a 100% troll. It's a mechanicless boss who is only hard because he preys on the desire of server and CRZ people showing up to do him. 15 people and 30 minutes of time will do better than 300 because of sheer 10 yard-radius real estate limitations on Dinosaur Island.

The only thing that makes Oondasta hard is that you're doing with with 80 other people, all of them moving within 10 yards of you. There is no mechanics to speak of other than that and don't stand in his face. .

So GC was right. It's not a free kill. It's a 74g68s23c kill. Not because of difficulty. But because of attendance. Three rezzes is the cost of my Oondasta kill. And I learned nothing. I miss the old Blizzard that made video games and was respected in its field. Not the new Blizzard that runs tries to put in obvious casino mechanics and call it fun.

You know I missed green dragons and world bosses. I remember the top guilds taking their turns on Lethon. Oondasta makes a mockery of those bosses' difficulty and purpose. He's really not a world boss. He's an randomly scheduled gold sink.

That's what I'm starting to think as well. More people = More chances of people screwing up Spiritfire Beam. Wiped on Oondasta for an hour because dps kept hugging the non-active tanks.

Kul Tiras US, two full raid groups plus some overflow because people here are too lazy to have started that third group. I got there for the last two wipes. People wouldn't listen to instructions. Group(s) fell apart and that was that.

    I hate my server.
I am the one who knocks ... because I need your permission to enter.

My battlegroup is full of pussies. Wipe once and everyone whines and drops. 40% is the lowest I've seen him get

I'm sorry to inform you, but that wasn't a pile of dust and you should wash your hands.

This boss pissed me off to no end. Here's how it went for me:

    1. Guildie: Hey, log your hunter, we're gonna kill Oondasta! Me: BRT! Uh... where?
    2. Guildie: Fly North from Kun Lai, new island. It'll dismount you so fly low so you don't die. Me: Pfft I'm an engineer I'll just pop wings.
    3. Mission accomplished, land, start to lag badly.
    4. Die for no apparent reason whatsoever.
    5. Guildie: Don't be in front of the boss, there's a cone.
    6. Release, graveyard is nearly giving the boss a spiritual enema it's so close. Res at corpse by hitting button without moving.
    7. Move behind boss.
    8. Die for no apparent reason whatsoever.
    9. Wait for the res-timer to elapse.
    10. Res, boss dies.
    11. No loot.
    12. Pop extra roll.
    13. iLvl 522 gloves.

Um.. yay? Thanks? I mean, I'm glad I got loot, but the boss was not in any way anything that could be called fun. Or entertaining. It was laggy as hell, the second time I died I wasn't even in front of the boss, it was just a really shitty experience all around.
