Friend needs a laptop for games - ~700 Budget.

Trying to help my buddy find a laptop. Hes obviously not looking for top-end with that budget, but he'd like atleast an i5 with a dedicated videocard and 6gb+ memory.

I've taken a look at Newegg, we've found a Samsung on there

    And an Acer on there

And this Acer, which seems better than both but has no reviews:

that right now looks like our only options. Tigerdirect had nothing, and I checked Xoticpc (Where I bought my gaming laptop) but nothing was in his price range there with those stats.

Do you guys have any suggestions of other sites we can check, or other possible laptops?

See if he could squeeze out an extra $50 and get this one: http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/c...48B6298FE58D3B

It's got an i7, a GT 650m, 8GB of RAM, and it's nicely portable at only 14". Only a 1366x768 screen, but at 14" much more than that is kind of overkill.

Of the two you posted, the Acer is the better deal on paper, but I'm always suspect about that brand's quality (it's cheap for a reason).

Yea, I pitched him on it but he really doesn't want a 14" screen, he'd rather have a 15.6

It's not Sweden, but a tad bit closer in some terms :P and the prices are somewhat similar.

It would be the best of the bunch, based on the GPU. CPU is a dual-core with hyperthreading instead of a true quad-core, but my notebook i5 has been totally solid so I feel comfortable recommending it. I'm still suspect about Acer as a brand, but the specs are totally solid if he's willing to take the chance.

As an aside: 4GB of VRAM on the GT 730M? Jesus tits that's unnecessary.
