Would you play a Smash Bros. type game with Blizzard characters?

For some reason I always had this dream of a SoulCalibur style 3D-weapon based fighting game cross over of Blizzard vs Square(Enix). It started out in a bored day dream I had at work of The Lich King fighting Sephiroth in Northrend and has remained stuck in my head as something neat-o I would like to see.

Absolutely not. That would be uninteresting. Power hierarchy is fairly well established. With SSB drawing from many series, you don't really know who would be the strongest. But, when from the same universe, you already kinda know.

while i could see it being really fun, i can't see much variety in some of the characters (starcraft ones mainly, unless they only used one per race)

though at least we have dota 2 for lol style gaming.

I'll be honest, I can't play another Warcraft game after experiencing WoW from Vanilla to end of Cata. I wouldn't buy it probably because when I think Warcraft, I think traveling Azeroth exploring everything. I don't think of myself as a huge lore character fighting other huge lore characters.

Think of major characters from Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo going head to head in a smash bros arena in famous Blizzard settings.


Think of Arthas vs. Kerrigan vs. Barbarian vs. a Lost Viking

Edit : Apparently they're already making Blizzard All-Stars but it's a MOBA.

I fucking loooove smash bros, BUT leave the smash bros game style only to smash bros (not that sony all stars thingy, sorry if you liked it, I thought it wasn't that great of a game), but I'd love it as a fighting game, just like Soul Calibur, tight controls and overall beautiful landscapes to fight on, imagine a fight on Char or at icecrown citadel (with the gunship firing in the middle of the battle so you have to disengage for a while, sort of adding some WoW-boss mechanics during the stages), it'd make some interesting fights

I can't really imagine a blizzard brawl-type game.

But if it was something like a 3rd-person shooter using warcraft or starcraft in a way that it was like battlefield.

Then again... I am pretty sure netherrealm and blizzard could come up with a pretty cool fighting game. I can almost see it now... orc fatalities.

If it is made by Blizzard's D3 or WoW team, no.

If it is made by their SC2 team, I would probably try it.

If it is made by a reputable gaming company, definitely.

Blizzard would find A way to ruin it and make it more carebear and casual like they have to d3 and WoW. So no i wouldnt like to see them ruin SSB series.
