Question Setup for a friend. Just want a second opinion if all this will work.

Hey all i'm building my friend a PC from Newegg and I have everything build but I was a second opinion to just make sure all of this will work and whatnot.

    Setup is the following
    ----------------------------

    Mother Board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo

    Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo

    Memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148660

    Graphics Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161422

    Storage: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148767

    Optical Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106276

    Windows 7: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116986

    Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147023

    Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817171046

A quick $500 setup. All I need to know is if all of this will work as it always helps to have a second opinion.

    Thank you!

EDIT: Just Realized there was a Computer Build Sub-forum... Whoops.

Motherboard and CPU sockets don't match.

And personally I would never get a PSU that doesn't atleast have bronze certification.
Aside from that, my last CM PSU blew up after 5 months.. so I ain't getting any of those anymore.

If the $500 budget has to include the OS you're in a tough spot, you could get a far better setup for not much more money.

Check out the sample builds Marest does here.

If your friend can find a way to budget a little extra to cover the OS, you could get a very nice build for under $500 shipped.

I would try to find a place where they sell pc's which already are build - since with a budget that low - you will be getting far more value for money that way

not really, its impossible for a system builder or boutique to compete with Dell or HP in that price range, but it doesn't mean that an individual can get a better deal, the breaking point is the OS, if you have to buy windows, a Dell or HP is not a bad choice, but if you already have windows or are planning on using linux, build it yourself
