Upgrading sound system.

Hello,

I'm a big music fan, and i'm still using a Sound Blaster Audigy + Creative X-230.
And currently looking to improve this a bit. I fear the dynamic range of the soundblaster has had it's better days. It's nearly 7 years old now.

I'm currently looking at a 250-300euro budget, but if i can spend less for an equally good system that's always a plus. This has to contain a (preferably studiospeaker) set and a sound card. For the soundcard i had a ASUS Xonar D1 in mind (yes PCI, it's better for placement). And from a few posts i've seen here i see the M-Audio BX5 is a good set. But i would like some more input.

A few demands:
Soundcard has to PCI
No surround sets, and preferably no woofer (2.0). (So no 2.1, 5.1 etc).
Available in the Netherlands
