Council of Elders Normal Stack Strat?

Hey, we have a bit trouble on this fight. I know we meet the DPS check people have posted and I know my team has the awareness needed. It's just a matter of a lot strats we have tried didn't work for us. The stacking strat I see in some threads sound interesting.

So im curious have you done this strat yourself? If so is the heal really not that big of an issue? Did you tank swap on mal? Etc... If i could get details on how you went about this strat It would be greatly appreciated

Looking for successful storys with this strat / raid comp / etc

I have one tank on Sul & frost king entire fight. In my raid a Guardian does this so the stacks from frost king can be reset. If you get some bad RNG and stunned just pop a CD and heal though it. The damage is laughable.

Tank with priest tank further away and assist with stunning & DPS add that spawns. Range can put a few dots to help with this. When empowered have tank bring priest to sul & frost king for some cleaving action. Both tanks assist stunning & DPS'ing down the add that spawns with cleaves DPSing it down further.

If Sul gets empowered have both tanks pick up adds and bring to a safe distance to dps down while the rest of the raid continues to burn down Sul. Once sul is dead or empower breaks finish off the adds.

For Priest and Frost king empower you'll be burning Sul and breaking empowers mainly by cleaving and/or DPSing down at 90ish energy. Everyone switch for Kaz.

Yes it is extremely effective. The heal is negligable indeed. Add has 1.4M hp and heals for 3.75M, so that is 2.35M hp more every 30 seconds, which translates to 78k extra dps you need to get out of extra cleaving, extra tank, no target swapping and no globals spent on stuns/slows. Not even a wash in terms of effectiveness, well worth it.
Tankswap? Sure. Main reason being 15 seconds of tank dps is worth quite a lot. Why wouldn't you? They're right next to one another anyway.
Other stuff: try and 2-heal it. After 3 minutes the fight is basically over in terms of tactics once Sul is dead, you can just swap to empowered one everytime with everyone. Have best cleavers on Sul, preferably melee like frost dk's. Assign dps to swap to empowered, preferably dps with not hard-hitting abilities because of the reflect. An elemental shaman for example could easily almost global himself with elemental overload procs. I'd say 3 on Sul fulltime, 3 to swap should be perfect. The only tricky part is that your 3 people who swap to empowered will need to find a soft spot to not put too much dps in empowered one and not too little either, but that's just something you'll need to find out by pulling.

We had some troubles with this encounter in Normal10 as well but stacking the bosses works like a charm for us. Guardian druid tanks Sul and Frost King with his focus on Sul to focus dmg on him and also to be able to interrupt on cooldown. Frost debuff stuns the druid from time to time but the additional damage is not really an issue. Warrior tanks the High Priestess right next to the other two adds. In case Kazra'jin is active we also pull the other three adds towards him. The 5 % heal the adds do is laughable and easier burnt down on the boss again than switching targets and loosing dps in the process. We have one melee DPS always on Sul as well to help with interrupts and make sure Sul goes down before doing another sandstorm.

Pushing the 25% to fast i bad because why? Would it make the next enpowered come faster making sul phase more likely or?

What do you do with the add when the priestess is empowered if you have them stacked? Does the add target melee?

Stun, slow and some DPS and the thing never moves and dies in less than 4 seconds.

But it does not like insta turn and kill a melee? or does it only target healers and ranged /casters

It will only target ranged dps/healers. Monk heals also count as melee for mechanics like this. So as long as your ranged/casters/healers are far away, the Shadow Loa will never eat anyone right away.

If you're tanking them all together anyway, why not just tank swap...?
