So I'm hosting a Lord of the Rings party in a week. Most of the people coming have managed to sort out costumes for it, but my mate and I (who are coming as Elrond and Gimli) are struggling for ideas on creating our costume.

We're currently planning on making them ourselves, as we're both a little low on money at the moment, but using the occasional bought item.

We already have a ginger beard/wig and an axe for Gimli, but nothing currently for Elrond. Any help given would be much appreciated as well as themed ideas for what to do at the party.
