What we found the easiest was to break static shock first as it was the only dangerous conduit for us, and then in the 2nd transition we level up the diffusion chain since the adds are trivial and even DPS can facetank them no problem. We generally have 3-4 of the level 2 adds alive going into the final phase and they die quickly and pose no threat. I would split groups at first as: 2 tanks, monk healer & rogue (people who can solo soak static shock), and then 2 DPS and 1 healer in each of the other 2 squares. Put the 2 tanks in the static shock quadrant and just have them spread out to the 2 weaker groups for the second transition. We tried the fatboss strat and wiped about 12 times, then switched to this strat and killed it immediately.

its gonna depend on what you have the most trouble with. we leveled bouncing bolts first then we sit at overcharge leading up to the second transition. we have a lot of immunities so we do mind dealing with static shock. diffusion is really easy as long as you're spreading for it. overcharge and diffusion always go out at the same time so you spread right before then group up on overcharge.

    from another thread:

I'll just out line how our guild does it. Every guild tends to pick a different thing to level out of Diffusion, Static, or Bouncing. What you choose to level first is gonna depend on your raid comp and how comfortable your raid is with dealing with each individual mechanic.

P1: Get bouncing bolts to 90-95 energy, all other platforms 70-80
    -----Intermission-----
P2: Static Shock and Diffusion Chain to 80-90 energy ( no level up ) -> Then sit at overcharge until 2nd intermission pushes
2nd Intermission: Spread right before Diffusion/Overcharge and then group up for overcharge. Hope people with immunities get static shock.

for our group, personally, we found it annoying in the 2nd intermission if a string of bad bounces went off. it would spiral out of control really fast and it felt even more RNG than who the static shock went on.

It's possible to do the encounter without leveling anything up. You just need the tanks in P2 to constantly take him in and out of range of the conductors.

No it isn't. They level up during transition no matter what you do.

I feel like disabling static shock first can RNG you if it's on someone that can't immune it. It's going to be doing 190% extra damage in the first transition and so hit really goddamn hard.

We've always disabled bouncing bolt first if it helps. Bolt always lines up with static shock in the transitions and can screw you up in the second transition. Here's a video of doing it this way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxAX6WTeVkk The key for us was phasing it fast enough that static shock stayed at zero energy until the first transition.

How is 1.16m divided among 3 people (~387k each) "really goddamn hard" ?
Just as a comparision: If you've defeated Lei Shen you're probably going for heroic Jin'rokh next where you're faced with Ionization which deals 450k on expiration / dispel.

The crappy thing with static shock in the first intermission is if it hits your group of 2 (we used two pallies so they could bubble it and cheese the crap out of it as a mechanic). We got rid of it quickly for that reason.

After the first intermission we did about 70% for bouncing bolts, 1 level and 25% for overcharge and then the last one (diffusion chain) we stayed to the end. Usually pushed about 1 level 50%-70%

If someone isn't topped off due to any of the other mechanics or an add melee+chain lightning they'll die. Or sometimes someone with an immunity on a platform of 2 will get it twice in a row and have no way to get rid of it and die. We found disabling bouncing bolt much more reliable.

Also on Jin'rokh you're all in the same area and you have 3 healers in range with +40% healing it's a bit different.

We disable Static Shock first and level up Diffusion Chain for the second transition.

For the first transition the groups should be:

    Blood DK and Prot Pally
    Mage and Mistweaver
    Priest, Frost DK, Lock
    Ele, Rogue, Druid

Mistweaver: Diffuse Magic + Zen Meditation for 2nd
Mage: Ice Block + Greater Invis

The 2 tanks should be able to stack up and soak with a minor CD no problem.

The groups of 3 all have to stack and pop a personal for each Static Shock.

We used the fatboss strat with no problems but with a littel change

    first transition we split
    tank
    tank
    healer healer dps dps
    healer dpd dp dps

    secund transition
    tank
    healer healer dps dps
    healer dps dps dps tank
