Anyways, don't fret like the other guy said due to CRZ - although once you are 90 if you want to pvp or raid even semi seriously I would probablu xfer to another realm for better possible progression. Magtheridon is my main server now and we are a med-hi pop realm, the H:A ration is suprisingly equal and everyone is pretty cool on here.
As for professions, pure gathering proffs while you level. It's a general rule of thumb that if you are serious about making gold in WoW while levelilng you should pick up professions that require gathering, you can do it while you are questing/in que and lowbie mats net lots of gold in the end. Once you hit 80-85 I recommend using the gold earned or mats gathered to power level 2 gathering proffs (Alch/Ench, Tail/Ench, Bs/LW) for max profit, those are setups that I have used in the past and have earned be over 3mil gold in my WoW time so far.
There are certain markets that don't even require professions that I still use to this day to net good gold
-xmog
-twink gear(blues/purples)
-flipping battlepets
-flipping ore to bars
All profits vary per server but that is, from my personal experience, the best way to go about doing it.
