Louis C.K
George Carlin
Ron White
Jeff Dunham
Eddie Murphy (Raw/Delirious for sure)
Richard Pryor
Abbott & Costello
Those are my favorites. I have to admit I never really saw (proper quality) shows of George Carlin & Bill Hicks but I've been told that they are good (and the bits I saw were very good.
Quite honestly, I can suggest to go watch SNL. Over here they don't air the show, so I bought a few dvd's and the older ones (1970ish) are really good too with Belushi.
Louis C.K. & Stephen Colbert
Louis CK - The deer joke is so great, burst into tears of laughter every time.
Eddie Murphy - Raw and Delerious are both AMAZING.
Magnus Betner - Swedish angry comedian, he is awesome
Katt Williams, Jimmy Carr and lastly, my fav: Kevin Hart.
Mitch hedberg is so insanely funny... I cant stop listening to the joke about the traffic lights ànd the bananas xD
Chris rock is good too, Russell peters and Belgian comedian Alex Agnew
But Mitch is my favorite by far!
I can definitely agree with Mitch Hedberg. Some of his jokes are so silly but just crack me up, like this one. "I haven't slept for 10 days...that would be too long".
well ive never heard of lois CK, guess hes American? going to have to give him a watch!
yeah Louis CK is US.
Also, want to add Gilbert Gottfried, I find that guy hilarious!
In order:
1. George Carlin: king of the American language, vulgar, and everything in between
2. Mike Birbiglia: Nobody can make fun of themselves better
3. Jim Gaffigan: I think only he can talk about food for an hour and it be funny
4. John Mulaney: similar style to Mike Birbiglia
5. Lewis Black: like George Carlin, but more topical and political
6. Mitch Hedberg: king of the one-liners
7. Brian Regan: see number 2
8. Daniel Tosh: Not quite one-liners, but not story-based either.
9. Russell Peters: Mostly making fun of different ethnicities
10. Bill Engvall: easily the best of the blue-collar guys. See 15 degrees Off Cool
11.Greg Warren: similar to John Mulaney and Mike Birbiglia
12. Christian Finnegan
13. Tommy Johnagin
14. Frank Caliendo: impressionist, but good on stand-up. See All Over the Place
15. John Caparulo: Blue Collar generation 2, see Meet Cap
Ones that are alive
Louis CK - Jim Norton - Joe DeRosa - Jim Jeffries
Patton Oswalt - Bill Burr - Stephen Lynch - Al Madrigal
David Cross - Bob Kelly - Dan Cummins - Ricky Gervais
Colin Quinn Tom Segura - Jamie Kilstein - Dave Attell
John Mulaney - Rich Vos - Amy Schumer
And there are probably about 30 more that I can't just remember their names. To many great dead comedians to list.
"There is no teacher but the enemy. No one but the enemy will tell you what the enemy is going to do. No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy shows you where you are weak. Only the enemy tells you where he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you." -Mazer Rackham - Ender's Game Orson Scott Card
