I don't know how I feel about this. Ever since cata they try and make non raid content "hard" again like BC. 5man heroics in cata, challenge modes in MoP and now heroic scenarios. None of those attempts were very successful or popular with most people, I am just saying. I'll definitely check it out and cap valor with this whatever, but honestly who cares about "hard" heroic scenarios that drop crappy epics. Maybe this is blizzards attempt at raiding for the ultra casuals?
Yeah, it's too bad, another feature I would have been really interested in, but will end up ignoring completely. Same thing with Challenge Modes and rated BGs. I just can't be bothered with redundant oversocialising with players just in order to experience more interesting and challenging content. Oh well.
its a dick move because it shows that blizzard once again cares ZERO for dead servers...
I don't see where I'm complaining, keep that for yourself, thank you. I merely said it was too bad. The game needs what? I don't need it, and I don't see how the game needs me to socialize more than I choose to do. What's so wrong about not having real interest in having continuous relationships with other people in the game anyway. People aren't that interesting. I don't care.
As some have stated to this topic, there doesn't seem to many problems here.
I don't see a problem having to be pre-made for Heroic Scenarios, makes sense, just like Challenge Mode or Rated Battlegrounds. You need team work and to know people, communication is more key. You can pug dungeons, normal scenarios, random battlegrounds and looking for raid. You don't need more offered, if you seek a notch up, you need to be able to supply team work to the harder fights and be able to communicate with the ones with you. Yes, party chat is okay, but I think there's a need for a barrier between casual pugging and actual grouping up. You can't expect all to be there for people, even if you end up with a bleeding server.
I am not sure, but can't you team with cross-servers? If so, I don't see a problem, if not. Well then a better setup of social connections could be made.
.. or sadly move.

Oh my god, how dare they make a premade-group requirement for a new feature! What a hilarious thing, to make us actually play with people! We want click on button, go afk and receive epics in the end! We deserve that epics because we pay just as much as those idiots who have no real life and play all the time they can! Stop catering to hardcores, stupid blizzard! Blah blah blah. /sarcasm. Been there, seen that. Lots of times.
Speaking seriously, I hope this new feature would not be based around timed aoe zergfests, as are Challenge modes (gold, ofc) now.
It seems like they are getting around the problem Cata initially had with hard heroics by making the harder options (challenge modes/scenarios) not a part of progression and optional. This way those players who want a harder challenge have options available, while those players who are less inclined or less skilled or have less time can still progress in the main content. Good solution to both problems imo.
How did this game ever survive before you had the ability to queue for everything?

I think queueing without friends to things like this is a death sentence, you're just asking to wipe with pugs ;D
